Food was excellent as was service. A really great restaurant overall. So glad to have found it. Gotta love Indian.

Been here a couple times and it's impressive how good the food is. Attentive and fast service. San juan food scene is doing well and these guys stand out in an otherwise dull shopping center. So far I've just ordered the basics; 1. Chicken curry 2. Tomato soup 3. Garlic naan bread The Captain is coming back for more! Will post an additional review after a date with the wife.

The food was excellent The service was par excellent And Lucas Carneiro is always and excellent host and it was a pleasure to have him attend to us. A must go to place for good indian food and great ambience.

Went here with my daughter. I got the sense they do way more takeout orders than dine in. But the service was excellent, they were very attentive. Interior was clean and nice with Bollywood on the TV. :) Food was great. Solid Indian spot with decent portion sizes. Not so good id drive in from out of town, but one of the best in the area for locals.

Very good northern Indian food, good service also. This place is very small, only tables & chairs; I think max capacity is under 40 people. It's charming but not much atmosphere. Portions are generous, so sharing a dish makes sense. Prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back (for lunch).

I ordered takeout here and everything was prompt. I got the veggie sampler (I wish it came with a sauce) which was fried food fun. The onion bhajia was the best! I also got the basic chicken tikka masala and garlic naan. The masala's flavors were good but were missing a smoky flavor. The naan was pillowy but I would've preferred it to be crispier and more like it came from the oven. I also got the gulab jamun which was pillowy and sweet; it was better than other gulab jamun's I've had before. Overall, I can't expect that much from an Indian restaurant in this location; the flavors are basic but seem to be missing a certain spice-level.

After several Instagram reviews about the restaurant, I decided to give this restaurant a try. Came here for a quick dinner with the family. We were seated quickly but our server. The restaurant is not too big and has a little bar and TVs. We tried to order a mix of dishes to sample. We started off as their goat cheese naan. The dish was really good but the cheese was not distributed evenly around the pieces. We also ordered their Tandoori Chicken. This was really liked and I would come for it again. The dish we ordered was their lamb curry and it was ok, and came with a portion of white basmati rice. Don't forget to order their mango lassi, we really liked that too. It was creamy and not too sweet.

D#6 - Basanti had been sitting in my bookmarks for quite some time. I don't usually make it this far south, hence never making it to the restaurant... 'Until this particular Wednesday evening with AR. Most often when I eat Indian food it is at a lunch buffet. I know some of the dishes but not very many. A buffet is a good way to try different menu items. AR is much more versed in Indian cuisine/culture than myself. I just learned that in traditional Indian dining, it is customary to solely eat with the right hand even if you're left handed. The left hand is considered unclean and offensive. So, in the spirit of tradition, I attempted to eat using only my right hand. Being left handed, it was painfully awkward and slow going. "Come on, Darrell, we don't have all night!" - After several minutes, we both decided we were going to eat with both our left and right hands. HA! (Fine! I'm dirty & offensive!... 'What else Is new?!) Our order: Goat Cheese Naan w/Mango Chutney - Very good Himalayan Momos - Very good Dal Tadka - Good (Spice level: Mild) Vegi Biryani - Very good (Spice level: Spicy) Chicken Tikka Masala - Very good (Spice level: Spicy) AR & I enjoyed everything we ordered; notably the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Veggie Biryani. We both agreed that these two were our favorite of all the dishes. The Goat Cheese Naan was definitely noteworthy; very different than the standard naan. It paired very well with the mango chutney. Ambiance was fine; standard restaurant layout with accompanying Indian decor. The service was equally good; friendly, attentive and accommodating. Overall, it was another nice evening; good food and great company. Once again, like Seasons 52, we closed the place down. I believe it was 8:45pm; think we were the last couple to leave. We will definitely be back. I'm looking forward to trying their chili naan and other delicious dishes. Note: Lunch buffet offered here. Overall rating: 4 1/2 Stars (Rounding up) Food: 5 Ambiance: 4 Service: 5 Value: 4

Upon walking into the entrance, you will but hit with the aroma of spices, it's like you been transfer to a spice alley in India and my gosh, it smells so good! As my coworkers and I walked in, we were greeted by the staff (It was during lunch time, not too busy) and sat at any table in meantime, I knew what I was getting already because chicken tikka masala was one my favorite dish. Had to get samosa for appetizer for the table, garlic naan and then our lunches. Yall, the samosa were MASSIVE!! I ate one and lowkey got full because when my dish came out, I ate about two piece of chicken with some basmati rice with two piece of naan, tap out! Had to take the rest to go, all in a good way, just didn't want to overly stuff myself since we had to head back to work. Worth the price, and thank you to our lovely waiter, he even offer us more basmati rice to take home with our dish. Amazing services, the food (If you like indian food of course) is really good. I haven't had fresh ndian cuisine in a very long time (Talking about 7 years or so) and those trader's joe frozen meals doesn't count. The chicken Masala wasn't spicy for me, in fact when I took mines home, I added in nuclear sauce and it was soo divine. Keep in mind, I have a higher spice tolerance so be warn, to some the dish is spicy but to me it wasn't. I'm coming back here again, I really love the dish and those samosa though, crispy and fulling.
